Don't Post to Social Media Sites JUST TO POST!

A pet pieve of mine is people who post to social media sites just to post! They figure (I thing wrongly) that the more that they post, the more that they get their name out there to their connections and friends, and the more likely their business will get more business. I THINK NOT! For me, Excessive posting without providing any real benefit to your connections and friends does just the opposite - YOU LOSE CREDIBILITY AND I JUST SKIP OVER YOUR POSTS LIKE ROTTEN FISH!  You are simply wasting my time and I hate that more than anything in trying to build my business......PLEASE - JUST GIVE ME SOME VALUABLE STUFF TO READ PERIOD!

Keep your word when posting in the new World of Social Media!

In order to keep your company's credability intact it is important to remember what you say when you post something online.....Use your calendar to remind you of promises that you make to any sales prospects as well as suppliers. It is no different from the Pre-Internet days when you used an old-fashioned calendar to remind you to get back to someone. A promise to a sales prospect or supplier is one you need to keep at all costs.

PRINT ADVERTISING - is a waste of money for most small business owners!

Don't bother to call me and try to sell me a business card ad or any ad for in any directory, expo booklet, etc. - Unless you only want to do a little branding for a WELL KNOWN HOUSEHOLD BRAND .......forget just wont make the phone ring or lead to more sales. You are just making a donation to the company selling the ads......You probably won't get any return on your investment...................

The Jersey Shore Boardwalk Businesses are BOOMING!

Everybody has to eat & they do a lot of eating on the boardwalk. The cash registers are buzzing as people seek some kind of relief from the horrors of the world and the nightly TV news headlines. The Dow is over 17k and stock and 401k's are still rocketing up giving consumers hope and cause for celebration. When will it all end? Probably someday soon...but who cares?  Just enjoy the ride!

Meet me on SOUTH street in Philly? ........I think NOT!

Just visited there last night and I am still in a state of shock! Dirty, Dirty, & More Dirty! A LOT of closed stores.............Hey Mayor Nutter- think you can have the city How about subsidize some of the rents down there in exchange for some nifty "different" types of new neat stores that would enchance the neighborhood rather that let the area continue to look like a decaying former hot spot?

Who's in charge of the area? It seems like South Street has become just a disorganized bunch of businesses-It needs a Full-Time cleaning crew with some power to get in the owner's faces to get it up to par. Yeah ...there's a lot of people walking around who appear to be having fun- however, most carry no shopping bags.............There has to be a better way to preserve this treasure of the past!
